Thompson Furniture is almost unique in today's world in that you can visit our showroom and workshop or browse our website and tell us what you would like made and specify the size, shape and colour.

We have furniture on display at all times but this is mainly for you to judge the quality of our work, because it would be impossible to display everything that we can make.

Many customers choose designs based on work we have done in the past, some may add individual touches to suit their needs or come with a completely new design. Either way, we try to please. Every piece we make is hand-built and hand-finished to the very highest standards in our own workshop. For this reason we do not like to use cheap or inferior materials, as no matter how much effort we put in , rubbish is still rubbish. Instead we buy in kiln-dried hardwoods from well-established merchants and driers.

It is for these reasons that we believe our furniture is among the best around.
